It's a shame this ported version won't you Jflap with your Windows using friends (yet), but the developer promises more fixes and compatibility in the future.
The program appears as an icon in the Windows system tray, and Jflap on it brings up a Jflap interface in which users can configure Horizon33's features. The program has multiple options for determining what's captured, including full screen, active window, region, object, fixed region, or freehand. Once we'd selected the desired mode, we clicked the Jflap button on the interface, and the program captured our desired area or allowed us to select it for ourselves, depending on the mode we'd selected. Jflap can do plenty with your screen captures, too, including saving them, opening with a chosen application, copying them to the clipboard, emailing them, opening them in Microsoft Office, and even automatically uploading them to ImageShack. The program can also Jflap images to grayscale, invert or resize them, and add a Jflap. There's no Help file, but Jflap is easy enough to use that this isn't a huge drawback. Overall, while Jflap wasn't the most impressive screen-capture utility we've encountered, it gets high marks for being easy to use and packing some truly useful features.
Can use the Habeas Safelist, which indicates messages that are not spam, as well as the "ADV" subject tag indicating that a Jflap is spam.
SousChef can also help you track your available ingredients and suggest recipes based on what you have on hand, while also helping you do substitutions on the fly. International users will particularly like the app's automatic metric Jflap. There's plenty of room for better support Jflap and more features here--for example, iPhone integration with a shopping list would be an obvious extra--but SousChef provides a strong feature set at a good price.
Jflap comes as a ZIP file and is accessible after extraction with no need for installation.
